Welcome to LambrettaGiardinetta.com
Between 1948 and 1971 Innocenti produced Lambretta three-wheelers alongside the Lambretta scooter. In 1958 a very special version of the standard FDC 150 was released; the Lambretta FDC 150 Giardinetta. The Lambretta Giardinetta was designed and built by the iconic Ghia carrozeria, famous for conversions such as the Fiat 500 Jolly and the Renault 4CV Resort Special.
We have built this site in a hope to bring all of the surviving information and photos of the Lambretta Motogiardinetta together for everyone to enjoy. You can find out about the Giardinetta in the History section and some fantastic photos in the Gallery.
We also hope to bring you the stories of the remaining Giardinettas, aka 'The Survivors' with photos of their restorations and the history they are still making today. To date we know of 10 surviving Giardinettas and we are working through contacting the owners to share with you some photos and information about each of them.
Information from Ghia and Lambretta about the Giardinetta has proved elusive as it is believed that the original Ghia archives have been all but lost. We are slowly piecing together the hows, whys and wheres of the Lambretta Giardinetta story and we will add new information and photos to the site as soon as more is discovered and shared.
The information on this website has been kindly shared with us by many people and to them we are exceptionally thankful as it just would not have been possible without it. We would like to make a special Thank you to Vittorio Tessera at Casa Lambretta for the many beautiful original photographs we are so fortunate to be able to share with you. Also a huge thank you to the owners of the Survivors for their kind permission in sharing their photos and information.
We hope that you enjoy the site as much as we have making it.
If you own a Lambretta Giardinetta, know of any history or have some information or pictures you would be willing to send us a scan of, we would love to hear from you. You can contact us by email or through our Facebook page.
